I started my book process by just looking through the magazines to see what I liked and I knew I was looking for primarily red images or text and a little bit of green elements. For image I decided to collage pictures of all different sea creatures. For type I used words that were red or green. For lines I got objects that were straight and red that are straight that can resemble lines straight across the page. For shape I selected images that were circular and round. To create unity I did try to stick with a red color theme with little pockets of green. I have also made some doodles with the same dark red pen across all four of the panels.

The square project went alright for me. I shared the square design I made for tension. For feedback I was told to make the spacing in between the squares larger and to push the fourth square out more to the right. To improve the image, I did exactly what the feedback told me to do.I wanted to make two designs. One with only a few words that would have a simple message and another that had an interesting quote about art. In both designs I emphasized the words. I think it worked out fine for both in the end, however, I wish I could emphasize the words even more and make the colors flow more with the images. I liked how easy adobe spark was to use, and all of the free templates that were available.I have just finished lines two and I am starting to play around with the color palette to begin lines three. What has been tough for me has been to create movement within the different lines projects and adjusting the lines so it is more appealing to the eyes. We learned how to use the grid in illustrator which helps keeps things aligned. |
